My Go-To Meal: Garlic Lemon Pasta

I’m all about working harder and not smarter, which is why I love this recipe! Cooking for guests is fun, but sometimes it can be stressful trying to find the perfect recipe that can please everyone.

Pasta is a great dish for when you have company over because you can dress it up or dress it down, and it fits most dietary restrictions.

This recipe that I’m about to share with you is super easy, and it only uses a handful of ingredients and takes less than 45 minutes from start to finish.

What’s the Serving Size?

If you follow this recipe without any modifications, it serves eight people comfortably. It’s great for when your in-laws come over or if you have a few children of your own.

We love that even if we make the meal with just the four of us in my family, there’s enough for seconds, and most of the time, we can save some for leftovers.

For those of you who love taking leftovers to work the next day, you’re going to love this recipe too! It’s great as leftovers and tastes just as good as the day you made it.

Recipe

Without further ado, here’s the delicious recipe that you’ll want to try out tonight!

  • 3 Tablespoons of minced garlic
  • ½ cup of extra virgin olive oil
  • 7 Tablespoons of lemon juice
  • 4 teaspoons of chicken-flavored instant bouillon
  • 1lb of spaghetti
  • ½ cup of freshly shredded parmesan cheese
  • ¼ cup of parsley
  • Fresh-ground pepper to taste

Cooking Directions

The prep time is only about 5 minutes just to get everything together, and then you’re ready to cook!

First, start your noodles of choice. The recipe calls for spaghetti noodles, but I like the fettucini noodles for the recipe because they’re thicker. Cook the noodles thoroughly.

Then you’ll add the garlic and olive oil to a separate pan and cook the garlic until it turns a golden brown.

Next, add the lemon juice, pepper, and chicken-flavored bouillon to the pan with garlic, and you’ll cook that until the bouillon dissolves.

At this point, your noodles should be ready. You’ll add it all together in a serving bowl, then add the cheese and parsley to the top.

Personalize It

I like to use a bit more cheese than recommended, so I typically add around ¾ cup of cheese instead.

The only other thing I change when I use this recipe is the parsley. I personally don’t like parsley so I either don’t add it at all, or I use cilantro instead. Cilantro has more of a citrus flavor which works better for this recipe for me.
