Oh hey, I’ve promised a tour of my home when we moved in, so here it is – better late than never, right?
Our home is a top floor unit in a 3-level-Victorian building in the Lower Haight/ Hayes neighborhood in San Francisco. We were very lucky to find this flat, it’s pretty spacious in SF standards and it has a huge bonus : it’s under rent control law, which means that we won’t see huge surges in rental prices at lease renewal time, like in our previous rental. It also has a small patio, neglected by the previous tenants, where I added lots of potted plants, a table, some chairs and an umbrella, and where we spend a lot of time as a family.
My beloved Ghost sofa and DIY made wooden table.
I adore this pillow, designed by Ragnheiður Ösp Sigurðardóttir for Design Stockholm House.
A view from the living room to Inès’s room, which will become an office when Inès leaves for college.
A painting by Inès that I cherish, next to my juju hat.
I love the period features of this home, the victorian moldings, the wooden floors that have been painted a jet black and the ceiling height.
Our entryway. I’m currently working on a major color update there. More soon!
