This year, I made the family Christmas gift wrapping paper myself and I am so happy with the result that I wanted to share it with you. I just used some white and black basic kraft paper and randomly dropped some paint on the paper using some gouache paint from the girls’ craft box. I carefully let it dry flat for a couple of days and voilà!
I must however give credit for this idea to the wonderful calligraphy artist Ylva Skarp who created the previous FrenchByDesign logo. Ylva, if you read this, thank you for the constant inspiration.
Then, with my favorite crafting and styling partner, we just added some pretty ribbon and minimalist Christmas ornaments or Christmas tree branches to add the final touch to our gift boxes. Simple, but magically beautiful and minimalist, don’t you think?
Have you ever done gift wrapping designs yourself? Do share, I’d love to read your ideas!
