Recipe | Fiber-packed green smoothie

January is always a hard month for me. My body is tired of winter and my energy is pretty low. When I visited my sister over the holiday season, she recommended her famous smoothie, packed with vitamins, fibers and minerals, and I thought I’d give it a try. I’ve been doing it for a week, and my energy level is slowly picking up [but I still caught a cold, heh…]

Here is my sister’s green smoothie recipe :

I use my NutriBullet to make this smoothie – I like the fact that it’s so easy to clean after use, and still affordable compared to other juicers.

My sister recommended to drink no more than a glass a day [16 oz], because you don’t want to overdo it with fibers…

  2. I use a handfull of green cale, a handfull baby spinach, celery, ginger, a small can of pineapple with juice, a squize of lime and crushed linseed, chia or oats and ad water if it gets too thick. Yummi!

  4. Soumd great, will give it a try. Makes a change from my usual morning green smoothie.

  5. I put flax seeds in because it keeps the smoothie smooth instead of frothy. I’m told all the nutrition is in the banana peel, but I haven’t used them.
