With two teenage girls at home, we’re sadly past the egg decorating Easter ritual. But I’m constantly amazed at the creativity out there when it comes to decorating eggs for the Easter celebrations. Here is a round up of the most original, think outside the box, egg decorating ideas I’ve spotted on the web lately.

How cool are these? Seriously? Spotted on the latest issue of Ideas Magazine, I think they are so glam chic. The eggs are dip dyed to get an ombre look, applied a gold leaf details or a glitter animal silhouette,  or decoupaged pictures are applied using table matching paper serviettes. For all the detailed tutorials, you can download the latest issue of Ideas Magazine on Zinio.

Ah, I’ll be a Pantone fan forever. Love, love, this clin d’oeil to Pantone on these egg decorations. Simply brilliant!

What about you, do you have a favorite DIY Easter egg decoration you like to do every year?

  1. Ha, this is funny. When I scrolled down to the Pantone eggs, I could literally smell the hard-boiled egg and dye smell. So, so Easter. Love the title, too, Hipster Easter. Love it. Thanks for the great ideas!

  2. Really cool easter inspiration! I’ve made some easter printables and shared them on my blog. Maybe you’ll like those as well!
