One thing I absolutely love about living in the US is the tradition of brunching. I love the idea of a brunch : taking your time, enjoying a big breakfast/lunch on Sundays and not having to rush. One of my favorite part of brunching is the mimosa! A mimosa [for those who don’t live in the US] is an alcoholic* drink made with Champagne [or any sparkling wine] and juice – the traditional one is made with orange juice. But you can do any Champagne-juice mix. So today, our recipe for the weekend is a “Pomosa” : Champagne and pomegranate juice – pomegranates are right in-season, lucky us!
The dose is most of the time 1/3 Champagne, 2/3 juice ratio, but some people prefer a 50/50 ratio. You can also make a virgin mimosa using some sparkling water such as Perrier or San Pellegrino. Serve these deliciously beautiful drinks next time you host a brunch with friends, and you’ll be the hostess of the year! Cheers guys, and a great weekend to you! Xo, Si-
