A light-filled Malmo apartment

01.04.2017

When Nadia and Peter had their first child, they realized their former apartment was too small and decided to temporarily rent this 179 square meter apartment on the fourth floor of a beautiful building overlooking the rooftops of the city of Malmö, Sweden.

Nadia and Peter thought that it would be a temporary solution but today, six years later, they live still there, and with another child in the family: “We really like the area, near the school and kindergarten, and close to the airport. And there is a fantastic light in the apartment, even in winter”, says Nadia.

“The apartment looked absolutely terrible when we moved in, so we painted all the walls and put new tile in the kitchen. It was quite small touches that still made sure this home was what we like and feel comfortable living in” Nadia says.

Nadia and Peter collected pieces from their life abroad – Nadia lived and worked abroad, in Italy, the US and Switzerland, and some paintings and furniture have followed her and found a place in her home :  “When I lived in the south of Italy, I learned to love how they create small collections, still life, objects.” confides Nadia.
