Are you hosting a holiday dinner this year? I teamed up with Tulipina to share with you a simple and chic holiday table. I’ve been attracted to coral hues lately and if you follow me on Instagram, you may have noticed that this color has been popping up on my feed a lot in the last few weeks – I’m even considering using it on an accent wall in my house, but I’m not ready yet to make the move. Coral is subtle, fresh, and goes so well with gold – plus it’s color therapy for grey winter weather. I wanted our table to be pretty, welcoming and, as always, elegant.
I used an antique French bed linen sheet as a tablecloth, and all white plates. The old fashioned crystal wine and water glasses [similar here, or here] add a vintage vibe to my table as well as the mid-century brass candleholders and taper candles.
The napkins are also made of linen, and I alternated soft pinks napkins with white ones to avoid too much “matching”. The gold flatware adds the festive touch to the table, along with the metallic beaded ornaments [similar here].
Kiana, from Tulipina, created this magnificent floral centerpiece for my table made of ilex, orchids, anemones, ranunculus, roses, amaryllis, narcissus, and euphorbia. The floral centerpiece takes the center stage, and because every other element of the table is so simple, the bouquet and its colors really pop up, don’t you think?
One final added organic touch is to use a floral detail from your arrangement [here, we used poinsettia] as napkin decor, optional, but oh so nice.
What colors are you going for this year for your holiday table?
