Alternative Christmas Trees 2016

Welcome to the new edition of alternative Christmas trees. Every year, we round up the best ideas out there of non traditional trees. Although I love the smell and look of a good ol’ tree, I’m also fond of clever ideas gathered around the web from creatives reinventing the holiday tree : whether it’s a question of missing space in a small flat, or simply wanting to avoid sacrificing a tree for the holiday season, there are many options to choose from.

You guys have been asking to get alternative holiday tree ideas earlier in the season to get some time to replicate the ideas and concepts, so here is the blog’s yearly round up!

  1. Always a pleasure to see what you have curated for alternative, fun Christmas trees, Si. Thank you and Happy Holidays, Ardith

    1. Thank you @Ardith! It’s always so much fun to gather fun holiday decor ideas! Happy holiday season to you as well! Xx-

  2. As a vegetarian I always wonder about how and why people (often eating meat without any problems) all of a sudden become all guiltridden over their Christmas tree (and eat a turkey without batting an eye). I eat broccoli without feeling the need to feel guilty towards the broccoli, I don’t think we need to feel guilt towards our Christmas trees. And look at it this way, they have stored up a lot of CO2 in their lifetime.

      1. I’m sorry that’s always the first thing that enters my mind when people talk about “waste of trees” etc. I can appreciate them as spacesavers, but really, how can it be Christmas without the real scent of a real tree?

    1. Ha, moi aussi @Véronique, toujours fan de ces talents créatifs qui redéfinissent la magie de Noël! Bise-
