12 great uses of glass walls

Glass walls, or “verrières” in French, are a great way to separate areas while keeping a loft feel – without building a wall, thus allowing light and view throughout the space. Used extensively in industrial-era buildings, glass walls are making a huge come back lately. Here are 12 interiors that master the use of glass walls.

  1. Verrières are so useful for separating alcoves that might not have their own source of light, where you want to be able to cut off sounds (bedroom or office) or smells (kitchen) or add privacy.

Bise-

  3. Glass walls are pretty much gorgeous. I wish at least half of all enclosed areas were glass walls, and the other half were walls of fiddle leaf figs and camelias.
