Pantone color of the year part 2 : Serenity

When I posted about the 2016 Pantone color of the year, Rose Quartz, I promised to feature Pantone’s second color of the year, Serenity, in a later post. Boy, what a difficult shade to find online. I’ve spotted many posts featuring a baby blue, a lavender blue, but serenity blue is so specific in its hue that it took me a while to find interiors [that I liked] using this particular shade.

Serenity | Pantone Color of the year 2016Quite frankly, I’m not fan enough of this color to have it on an entire wall, but somehow, in these spaces, it works beautifully – especially on accessories like chairs for example. While everyone is raving about Rose Quartz, Serenity does not seem to get the unanimous vote. So, speaking of Serenity blue… are you in, or are you out?

Loving this color. And this images are some great inspiration. It’s a great color to combine with a industrial look. Thanks for sharing these :)

Beautiful selection, great inspiration, thanks for sharing!

Very nice mood through all these beautiful images, this hue is so relaxing yet modern!

I wouldn’t say I’m out, but certainly I’m not in! I like a touch of serenity, but I prefer rose quartz.

@Noemi, I feel the same. In small doses and carefully placed, Serenitt works, but soft pale pinks are so much easier to work with. Xo-

I moved into a house with the entire bedroom painted this color, apparently the previous owners custom mixed a shade that was darn near identical.
I can attest that this is the most depressing color to live with, at least in large doses. After I painted the bedroom a nice, creamy white my mood brightened quite a bit.
Fair warning to those in love with this shade.
