Packing List | Summer Essentials

I’m packing for my imminent summer family trip to Southern France and Spain, and I thought it’d be fun to share with you my summer beauty and accessory essentials. These are my must-have items that are already packed in my summer travel bag…

From left to right : Oribe Après Beach Wave and Shine hairspray, because let’s face it, when you spend your days at the beach or by the pool, the last thing you want to do is  blow dry your hair. Yes to curly hair, with a little invisible help, right? R+Co Atlantis Moisturizing Shampoo and Moisturizing Conditioner, because since I’ve tried it, my hair and I are completely hooked. I’m also taking my Clarins Extra Firming Day lotion SPF15 and Moisture Replenishing Lip Balm, because during the day, you need to be constantly protected from the sun. My fedora hat, for the farmers’ market or the nap by the pool. Of course, I am also packing an SPF50 sunscreen as well as my favorite French cream for burnt skins, Biafine – I’ve never found something as efficient in the US. Do you know of a cream for sunburn or regular burn? This one is amazing because it literally makes your burn disappear!

Do you have a go-to summer essential product to share with me?

I also splurged on a new pair of Birkenstock sandals, all black this time, because they’re perfect for strolling around town while letting your feet breath the fresh air, hat [mentioned above] and a selfie stick, for the family pictures!

  1. Oh wow..wonderful. I think it’s the year to travel to Europe. Designlovefest has been there, now you are going and I’m (as if I’m on the lead board of bloggers..hahaha) traveling also there in September. We’re also planning to visit several countries. First stop will be Amsterdam, cause Holland is my birthplace and I grew up there. But for your next vacation, you should come to the Caribbean. Come to Curacao. You’ll have a blast. Enjoy the preparations for your trip. It’s always fun.

    1. Ah, I would love to visit Curacao, just the name of it sounds like paradise! Your Euro trip sounds wonderful Hubertienne!

    1. Love them too! The great thing about the all-black version is that the insole always stays black, versus the “toe-fingerprints” on the brown leather insole version – which I don’t find very eye-appealing after a few wears.

  2. Ha, the good ol’ selfie stick, perfect for ‘aerial’ pictures as well, I recently discovered the trick too and I looove it!

    1. Ha, you are absolutely right, Sarah! But with light blue eyes, sunglasses are an absolute essential accessory for me all year long! Couldn’t live without mine anytime of the year outdoors! Xx-

  3. Biafine is the best! We just ran out in our household and are trying to find a way to get some more. Anyways, bon voyage!
